There are a few different types of tunes available for a pre-charge  and each style of tune will give the shooter the optimal results for their application.

Power Tune - power tunes end result is the maximum amount of foot pounds that an airgun can produce. Normally used by those looking to hunt larger sized game, or for long distance shooting, where maximum energy is the main goal. A power tune requires the making of new parts, modifications to the components, machining of transfer ports and the valve, upgraded o-rings and seals, installing improved springs and changing the hammer, in some cases.

Pellet selection will be determined by the gunsmith to best match your gun, for both accuracy and foot pounds of energy, once the tune is completed. In most cases a factory airgun is only operating at about 65 - 70% of its true potential. A power tune will turn your gun into the beast you have been looking for.

Target Tune - Target tunes are designed for the most shots per fill and a foot pound limit of up to 18 FPE. A target tune will also focus on the best accuracy potential that your airgun can deliver. For most paper and field target shooters 12 - 18 foot pounds is plenty of power for their desired goals. A target tune will result in more shots per fill, the best overall velocity spread, improved accuracy, improved trigger, fill pressure recommendations, and an overall smoother shooting target gun. 

Some guns will require more work than others to perform their best, but custom made and upgraded parts are at your disposal. Barrels can be re-crowned or have the crowns lapped, target accessories can be made per your request. The pellet selection will be determined by the gunsmith for best accuracy and consistency.

General Tune -up - A general tune consists of replacing of the manufacturers parts with upgraded high quality replacements. The gun is completely stripped down, everything is machine polished, the stock trigger is tuned for the cleanest action, the o-rings and seals are replaced. long life quality springs are installed, barrel crown is lapped, barrel is cleaned, and best fill pressure and pellet are decided upon.

Trigger Tunes - Stock Triggers can be tuned or upgraded to perform as per your specs. In some cases modifications can be made to the trigger sears to allow exacting adjustments by adding operational screws. A trigger tune will result in better accuracy and a much cleaner, more comfortable trigger.
