Airsoft Green Gas
The most common gases used are propane (usually referred to as "green gas" by airsoft players) and HFC134a, HFC-22 and in modified guns "Red Gas" refrigerant. Less commonly used gases include CO2 and nitrogen/high pressure air. The common type of airsoft guns that uses airsoft gas are pistols. Some models of airosft gas are blowback and others are non blowback. Never leave any gas canister under direct sunlight or even any source of heat. Hi temperature will cause the gas (any kind of airsoft gas) to expand and the canister to explode. Other gas, like the green gas is a flammable gas. Never fill your gun near fire or spark. Always observe extreme caution when handling these gas.
Airsoft Green Gas
Airsoft Green Gas or HFC22 is more powerful than HFC134a. Use at your own risk if your gas airsoft guns is made to use HFC134a. HFC22 is designed for all metal pistols, and some non-blowback pistols. Before using, consult your gun's user manual for the right gas to use.

Most non-blowback pistols can take airsoft green gas because they don't have the blowback mecahnism which tends to break with use of high pressure gasses. On the other hand, plastic blowback pistols use 134a gas which has lower pressure comapred to airsoft green gas. We strictly advise that you read your users manual for the right gas to be used on your gas airsoft guns.

Got Gas?
There are different charactertistics for the different airsoft gas we use on our airsoft gas guns. I'll only focus on the general characteristics on the two gases we offer.

  • HFC134A- The HFC134A is the most common type of airsoft gas used today. HFC134A is the same refrigirant used in your automotive airconditioning. The only different is that refrigirants does not contain oil as much as the HFC134A we use on our airsoft guns. HFC134A has the lowest pressure among the other airsoft gas.

  • GREEN GAS or HFC22 is the propellant typically used to drive Gas Blow Back Airsoft guns, usually propane with silicone oil added. There are a few brands of "Green Gas" that are not propane, but these are not as common. Green Gas is produced by Airsoft Manufacturers. Players in cooler climates prefer to use Green Gas because HFC134a is often insufficient to cycle guns in cooler temperatures. Green Gas should be used with caution as it may damage guns which are not designed to handle the extra power. GREEN GAS IS A FLAMMABLE GAS.
