Airgun Scopes
Scopes are used to give a telescopic view of your target, bringing you closer and making you more aware of the scenario. This allows for a greater amount of accuracy due to the enhanced view fom the airgun scopes. They require a sturdy mount to secure it tightly to your chosen Air rifle / Air pistol. Mounts and scopes vary in size, make sure you find one suited to your chosen airgun that fits with plenty room for movement. I recommend that you splash out on a decent one first time instead of wasting your time with the cheap n' nasty. Lesser scopes usually will not satisfy your shooting needs in the long run. Within this page I have describe different scope magnifications and give you tips on zeroing and setting them up properly. (see below)

You will see in today's industry that there are many options for you to chose from. Scopes which vary in magnificatio and overall size. What does all this mean I hear you ask? For Example: 6 - 24x42 AO-Mil-Dot The first number is the lowest possible magnification (6 - 24x42 AO-Mil-Dot). In is instance the lowest magnification is at 6x the magnification of the human eye.
Scopes usually vary from 4x to even as large as 50x for dedicated shooters. The second number is the highest possible magnification (6 - 24x42 AO-Mil-Dot). In is instance the highest magnification is at 24x the magnification of the human eye. Often your average UK scope loses a small amount of sharpness and clarity at higher mag. This is a common problem however if it is so serious that you cannot make out a clear target picture, contact the manufacturer for a replacement. The final number is the size of the objective lens in -mm-.
The larger the size the greater the light gathering potential, increasing picture lightness allowing for a longer hunting period in low light. (6 - 24x42 AO-Mil-Dot) Scopes vary from 25mm to 56mm object lenses for different shooting situations. AO means (A)djustable (O)bjective so that you can alter focus according to the distance of your target. This feature is critical when shooting over a varied range with a variable magnification scope. The last term describes the Reticle of the scope. In this case Mil-Dot. Other reticule's include 30/30 and IR meaning Illuminated Reticle.
