We thought it would be just an informal test to see if it is what we want so it will be set up with different range targets for sighting in and 5 lanes of field target and a Silhouette spot for air pistols

Well we went down to the Shooting Range of Brookhaven and spoke to Joe from the range he showed us two places we can set up and I think it looks great!!!

One is off by it self we took pictures see link below. It has been awhile that I have been excited about a place to shoot but we can have a full size meet in the archery area and a couple a month in the spot behind the main building.

Airguns Long Island Field Target Club Pictures and Story 6/28/09

This is an introduction to an air rifle competition called Field Target.
Field Target is a hunting simulation competition shot with air rifles.
The targets are silhouettes of animals that might be hunted with air rifles
(and some that you probably wouldn't!).

The competition is shot in the woods and fields in typical settings that a hunter might encounter while hunting. The targets have circular holes cut in the target face in an area that represents the "Kill Zone" of the particular animal. Behind the kill zone is a paddle. When a pellet passes through the kill zone and hits the paddle, the whole target falls over dead.

A hit anywhere else on the target leaves it standing. After a kill, the target is reset by pulling a string attached to the target. A kill scores one point, a miss scores 0.
