We started in 2008 with out a clue there is a lot more to know about field target then one would think. Above you will find write ups that starts at the beginning of our journey. I must say the members spent a lot of time reading about field target but trust me it sounds great on paper but what works for one person will not for another.
Let start with air rifles some members found that you can not just buy the most expensive air rifles on the market. Until you sit down and shoot a field target match with the air rifle you really can't tell if it fits you. What I mean by this is there are so many factors like the cheek piece on air rifles are deferent.
In Field target shooting most shooters use high magnification scopes with large objectives that will require high mounts this brings the scope high off the air rifle. If you do not have an adjustable or high cheek piece your cheek will float above the stock this can make the rifle unstable. It is very important to make the air rifle part of you, ergonomically correct for your body.
