Crosman 2240 CO2 pistol is one of the most customized air pistol to date! The Venom shop takes a 2240 and power tunes the valve by increasing the inside of the valve dimensions while reducing down to a funnel shape. Then we increase the port hole size and change the angle from a 90 degree to a 45 this increase the volume and flow of the CO2. In return you get a higher velocity from 460 fps to 550 - 600 fps.
Next the trigger is tuned by removing any slag or burs caused by manufacturing the trigger is then buffed.
We also replace and adjust the spring this gives you a nice target type trigger pull.
Then the steel riser block and steel breech with 11mm scope rail are installed
We Reinstall the barrel then our custom shroud is installed over the barrel.

Crosman 2240 Pistol Test. Pellets used were Crosman Accupel. Similar velocities were obtained with Crosman Powerpel and Eley Wasp. A short time was allowed to load and to reset the chronograph. This would also allow the Co2 to reach room temperature, although even when a second shot was taken fairly quickly the velocity was found to be much the same. It would be expected that in cold conditions a lower velocity would be obtained. The Crosman 2240 is very similar to the other Crosman guns like the 2250 and 2250xt. The power limit for the Crosman 2240 is 6ft. Lbs. The limit for the Rabbit and Rat is 12ft. Lbs. Average Energy was around 5.2 foot pounds with a velocity around 400
feet per second.
