I have owened this gun for 6 months now. The only complaints I have are that the stock needs a few coats of polyurethane for durability, and second, the equipped scope needs to be fiddled with quite a bit to get this on point. Other than that, you NEEEEED to practice and get to know the Quest 1000X, it feels great in your hands, real solid, not like the GAMO's they're too light for me and I feeel like they wont last. You also have to understand that dynamics (ballistics) change when you change ammo types. re-scoping will always be a factor when changing projectiles. This rifle is awesome for the money. Careful with the open sights too, the knobs get tuned easy in a sling case and it is best to know your adjustments and recalibrate after you have transported the rifle. Can't wait to go back out and shoot. Have fun!

I agree it's not the perfect beginner pellet gun but anyone who practices firing this gun for a while can get the hang of it; it took me about 150 to 200 rounds to really get comfortable. I'd consider the Quest 1000X to be good practice for a real .22 firearm rifle. Its that powerful.
If you are having trouble getting tight groups with this gun use Gamo Raptor pellets. I find that lead pellets are too soft and they usually bend/warp when I push them into the barrel.
If you want to get into small-game hunting without spending much more than 100 bucks this is the perfect gun.

First off, the open sights it comes with are completely useless. They are made of this flimsy plastic that can be tweaked easily with your hand. At 10m I could not get groups any smaller than 3". After I removed the open sights, I added a Bushnell 3x9AO air rifle scope mounted on a Beeman adjustable scope mount, sighted in at 10m, and was able to group, 3 rounds .23" C-T-C using Beeman Crow Magnum Hallow Points. Being made in China, workmanship and quality was almost flawless, equaling that of European spring rifles. The wood on the stock had no dings or dents, the finish applied evenly with only minor blemishes near the breech area. The trigger IS NOT TWO STAGE. It is more like a single stage with 'adjustable' breaking point, adjusted to have about 1/4th inch of 'pre-travel' which seems fine. For a 100$ gun I must say this is definitely a very impressive piece, higher quality than ANY 100$ new FIREARM OR AIR RIFLE I have ever seen.

I bought his rifle a little while ago. It was very good for the little while i shot it. I need to send it back because it was damaged during shipping. The only thing if you are a biginger do not buy this rifle. Go with something slower and less prowerful. Also if your a bigener it will take you a while to align the scope its not the scope it just takes practice. Overall it is a great gun.
