This is a decent rifle for the money. The finish is plain-jane and there are a few plastic parts, but it's solidy built and has a nice weight/feel to it. The trigger isn't bad for this sort of rifle. and the accuracy is good. I yanked the scope off of mine and mounted a BSA Red Dot , I can shoot about 1- inch groups at 25 yards using the red dot, closer to 3/4 inch at 30 yds with the scope. The 3-9x32 scope that came with it is pretty basic, and it has an ugly Beeman logo stamped on it. I don't use the scope, but have transferred the mounts to another rifle. I don't have a chronograph, but, compared to my other rifles, I'd guess this one actually shoots in the 600-700 fps range with real-world pellets. The cocking/firing action was a little clunky at first, but it smoothed-out after about 50-100 shots. Cocking effort is average-to-low, it has a longish barrel and a muzzle brake that help in this regard. It's also a relatively quiet rifle, and a proven squirrel-buster.
